Following the trials, an electric Type III Universal was installed on August 10, 1912.
Later, on October 1, 1917, a second Type III was installed, but the rental appears to have ended December 31, 1917.
(These dates refer to the rental contracts appearing in the Auditor General's reports.)
The Ottawa International machine has been recorded used until Aug 29, 1913. It is recorded back in use Aug 1, 1918. Note
that Ottawa Internationals also exist throughout this period with FREE (SSM-55b) as the obliterator, but this presumably
was an additional machine.
However, more than one dater hub exists far before 1917. So far however, we have not seen overlapping use. We define
the following dater hub types.
