Post Offices of Canada

The PHSC is developing an on-line database of post offices and postal outlets from across the country. This information is drawn from postal records, archival material and some published works. Major contributions have been made by Gus Knierim, in compiling a database of modern post offices of Ontario and Newfoundland, Gray Scrimgeour and others, in compiling databases of western Canadian post offices (particularly in the early period), Doug Murray on maritime provinces, and by Robert C. Smith. This database includes the data contained in his books Ontario Post Offices.

These efforts are only at a very beginning stage, and we need YOUR help! If you have information that you can provide, we would love to hear from you, whether it is one item or many.
