Broken Circle Postmarks of Canada

The PHSC is compiling a database of early broken circle postmarks of Canada and Newfoundland. These data are being put together from a variety of sources, and we urge you to make reports, whether they be single items or lists, to the addresses given below. As you can see, we are only in the beginning stages of putting this database together, but we are making steady progress. We are at present working on adapting lists of western and northern provinces and territories compiled by Gray Scrimgeour and others into a database format that will allow for a variety of display methods and searches. We should also soon have data from maritime provinces as well, and we hope to be able to soon offer Bruce Graham's Ontario Broken Circles as part of this database. For information about the notation used for identifying these postmarks, click here.
